Siete De Mayo

Yesterday (May 7th) we celebrated Cinco De Mayo downtown. There was a fair down at Civic Center Park with booths, food, and music. Getting there right as it started was perfect. Elias got to kick a soccer ball, throw basketballs, toss bean bags, throw wiffle balls...all without waiting in line. He got a maraca, a pink balloon, free toothbrushes (his favorite prize), sample food, a hacky sack, a high five with a guy dressed up as a blue dog, and the free photo above. His favorite thing was seeing the Tecate girls dancing on stage throwing out free key chains (he loves his boxing punching bag key chain almost as much as the toothbrushes). We took the light rail downtown, brought a picnic lunch, enjoyed the 80 degree weather, and even had front row seats for the landing of 7 Navy Seals that parachuted from a plane. Elias wanted to do it all again today. Matt and I were still worn out.
